Irene Altagracia Perez Lopez
Irene Lopez was born in 1980 in San Salvador, El Salvador and is a Swedish animator, director and illustrator. Lopez came to Sweden with her family as a political refugee and currently resides in Stockholm where she works as a documentary filmmaker. Irene has studied animation at Konstfack (2003-2005) and graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (2012-2015) with a Bachelor of Arts in Documentary Filmmaking.
A selection of films include: The Promise (2016, in production), Pinocchio Without a Nose (2012, awarded Tempo New Doc) and The Brightest Star (2005, awarded 1:st Prize at the November Film Festival).
